Financial and Business Controller

General objective of the position:

Responsible for the coordination, management and monitoring of the financial aspects of all businesses, such as: ensuring timely and sound execution of accounting, preparation of financial reports, budget control, analytical accounting, maintaining standardized structures and procedures, identifying potential areas of financial risk and supporting the implementation of risk mitigation activities, taxation, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for all entities, including data entry, reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.
  • Process accounts payable transactions and monthly reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and backup schedules.
  • Collaborate with department teams to monitor and control budgets, expenses and financial performance.
  • Assist in preparing project cost estimates and budgets, and provide periodic reports on actual costs and variances.
  • You will provide advice to Financial Management and other departments ensuring up-to-date knowledge of financial laws, taxation and contractual requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and systems, recommending and implementing best practices.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information as required.
  • Participate in department meetings to provide financial information, identify potential risks and support decision making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address finance-related inquiries and provide financial support for company-wide initiatives.

Job profile:

  • Master's degree in economics, accounting or finance
  • Seven (7) years of work experience in financial or auditing positions.
  • Skills: financial and business analysis, mastery of the complete accounting cycle, advanced excel, mastery of Microsoft Office and Power BI, tax management, inventory, advanced English (written and spoken), legal procedures and implementation of electronic invoicing, administrative management in Zona Libre.

  • Contract: permanent (three months probationary)
